Movie remakes that you actually enjoy

Watching Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan. I always thought this was as entertaining as the original. 
 

Hard to beat a Steve McQueen movie but this one is pretty good. 
 

What movie remakes work for you?

That film flipped from Bank robbery to Art theft and the resolution was completely different. Both entertaining but feels like two separate films with the same name.

I went back and watched the original True Grit because I liked the remake so much. I couldn't believe how young Robert Duvall looked in that one!

Cars was a pretty good remake of Doc Hollywood.

Oceans 11 I thought was better than the original.  Where the original just seemed like a bunch of buddies getting together to make a movie.  

Batman, the Nolan version was pretty fantastic.

Because its coming out soon.  I thought the Planet of the Apes Trilogy was a solid prequel to the Heston Apes and not the crap Marky Mark Apes.

Oh and Rogue One was probably one of the better Star Wars movies, but a cheap knockoff of Seven Samurai.

I liked oceans 11 because of the simplicity, rat pack, and Cesar Romero was great.  
 

both good. I like oceans 12 best of the three.
