That is pretty much my only complaint about Randazzo: he gets overly excited on fairly routine flyballs sometimes.

You guys have read me for a long time now, it's rare that I ever expect less than nothing from a guy but that's really where I am with Hicks.  I don't even think he's a bad guy to have so long as his role is to come off the bench to pinch-hit/run, fill in defensively - he's actually been really good on the bases..  But the effort to get him in as much as possible when the other two obviously make more sense makes NO sense to me.

I guess Wash has a spot for veteran guys and we will get to see how much of a leash he gets but unlike Schanuel where there aren't better options and he still brings value by virtue of getting on base Hicks just feels like a road bump most days.

Here's to hoping he performs better.
