I was reading the storyline at the bottom of MLB Network's broadcast of the Angels. What is the difference between saying an injured NYM pitcher is out for 8 months or out for the season?

Season is only 6 month 8 months include ST and playoffs

8 months gets you all the way to about Thanksgiving or the winter meetings.

I thought I read earlier that they asked him to try to pitch more up in the zone. Once he finishes tinkering I think he'll be fine
