I don’t love our pen but I can’t imagine with bullpen volatility that there’s a harder thing to accurately predict than bullpen WAR.

There are like 4-6 guys that are complete wild cards and could make a massive difference in the pen.  It's a shit show potentially, but it's an area they actually have people they could turn to.   Canning, Rodriguez, Davis, Torres, potentially Bachman and Joyce.   If Kolton Ingram's 2022 is an indication he's improved his command then he's another guy that might have an impact down there.

100%. Could be dead last, could be a top-5 bullpen in the AL.

Still hope we sign one or two more veteran guys if we can.

How do they rate the offense? If they're using last year as an indicator it isn't valid. Last year before spring training they ranked the bullpen highly, look how that turned out.

8th in the AL, 13th overall. I would say this is a bit of an underrating, seeing as they have Trout at 5.3, Walsh at 1.2, Drury at 1.5, Urshela at 1.1, and Ward at 2.7. Ohtani was at 3.1 (hitting only).

Trout last year in 119 games ..... 6.0, Walsh in 2021... 2.3, Ward 3.8, and Ohtani 3.8. If they all just do that, it would be 3 WAR higher.

I'd put them somewhere between Astros and Guardians, around 31 WAR.

That would put us in playoff contention.
