It really is a very good series.  I don't know if you would miss anything by starting with season 8, but I would recommend starting with Season 1 just because they are so good.

Netflix:  Kaleidoscope  So it reminded me quite a bit of Oceans 11.  Then it didn't and went it's own direction.  It was pretty obvious, but the backstories were more interesting.  Even with the similarities to Oceans 11, it was kind of a fun weird watch.  It's also a weird premise if I understand it right.  In that the episodes are all random for each viewer.  So someone might see the heist first, and another might see the heist last.

Bosch is good... The Expanse... I cant think of one that's currently airing that is any good. I'm sure someone out there liked something I havent seen.

I use a family members. It doesn't have much for original content and the movies are the same straight to video John Travolta type of shit. If I didn't have it I wouldn't be missing out on anything.

That's what I'm saying. If you already have a streaming app, this is no different. Unless you want the Yellowstone spinoffs or the other two shows (Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King) it's the one I use least.

They do have NFL games because it's CBS and I like it because they have the rights to some of the European soccer leagues/tournaments. But it's pretty basic.

There are some good shows on Paramount + depending on what you like.

Mayor of Kingstown as @Brandon mentioned, also Tulsa King.

Seal Team was on there not sure if it will be back next season. It's pretty much run its course. Most of CBS shows are available.

If you like the Yellowstone franchise 1883 is a good limited series, and 1923 which I haven't watched yet.

They have everything Star Trek on there if you are into that.

Top Gun Maverick is one example of a major movie that is streaming on Paramount +. And the original Top Gun as well.

That's off the top of my head. I have a free subscription that will expire in September, not sure if I will pay to re-up. You can always put down $4.99 or whatever for a month and watch everything you missed the rest of the year.

On the negative side the Paramount + app on my Android TV is pretty clunky, it might be better on some other platforms. It is available as an add-on to Amazon Prime so that might be a better way to go if you are actually paying. But I think on Prime they only offer the ad-free subscription which is $9.99. The ad-supported version is $4.99. Since my subscription is free I'm stuck with the stand-alone app and ads.

You can always just pay for a month and watch everything, IMO it would be worth $10 to see 2 seasons Mayor of Kingstown, 1883, and Tulsa King. Top Gun Maverick was also good to see again.

This isn't a watch.  More of a read.  But I've read the following, the entire Expanse book series, Martian, and started on the Bourne books.

What I find interesting is, Expanse is very true to the book.  Except for the last episode for obvious reasons.  Hopefully they will make the last 3 epsodes.

Martian is paraphrasing the book.  It isn't complete, but most of it is there.  They cut out a lot.  

Bourne.  I'm about 3/4 of the way through Bourne Identity.  And it is nothing at all like the books.  The only thing so far that is similar is that some of the names have stayed the same.  It's just strange how different it is.  it's like they liked the general overall concept of the books, but wanted to make the movie based on that theme but their own story.
