I like Rengifo in there -- he's been better than Wade (though a small sample size in comparison).

I haven't been a big Rengifo fan (at least not since he was pretty good as a rookie in 2019) but I think he needs a shot this time.....let him play...but it's Maddon so we all know that there will be tinkering....

Hearn has pitched much better his past two starts, albeit just 5 innings each.

Has always had control issues, 4.5 BBs/9 innings in 2022 and for his career.

Rengifo has shown some solid plate discipline in his short time back up here, and hasn’t had any glaring defense issues or mental gaffes either.

·       Optioned RHP Andrew Wantz to Triple-A Salt Lake

Something to consider:

Jared Walsh, Ward, Thaiss, and Rengifo tore up AAA.  Despite that Walsh was considered a fringe prospect and people were considering Ward and Thaiss as failed prospects.

2018 Walsh bats 605 OPS

Ward 518 OPS.

Both have breakout season when given extended play.  Maybe we should consider the sane for Rengifo and Thaiss
