Gameday Thread: Nationals @ Angels (5/8/22): Sandoval on the mound

It’s nice not to have to hear/say/think these things as frequently at the start of the season. These are big wins that help build momentum, give the team an edge in close games (hopefully), and show them they are never out of it. Gotta love the comeback wins!

Taylor Ward now has enough plate appearances to qualify for the league leaders.

He's 1st in MLB in OBP

He's 1st in MLB in SLG

That obviously makes him 1st in MLB in OPS

He's second to Machado in Batting average, but still 1st in the AL.

What makes me laugh at most guys here is that we're coming off a series that showed we have the ability to come back and win games, yet they rant about how crappy we are and how the game is lost when we're down a run or two.

Defense and pitching, outside of Peguero, got it done this weekend.

Just looked up the Nats recent schedule, and saw them winning two of three in SF while scoring double digit runs in two of the games in a pitchers’ park.

For one week, AO out!

You’re the reason the Angels won though. Reverse jinx!!
