Trout Lead Off

Shocking since Mike has had Trout back in the lead off position it looks like our teams offense has turned a page. I don't know what took him so long but lets hope Mike doesn't have a brain fart again and change this up. Trout is the best lead off hitter in the game and he should be there his entire career where he can use all of his assets.

I'd actually prefer to have Bourjos hitting first with Trout following him. It's the same as it is now except you don't have to go through the lineup to get that AB of Bourjos in front of Trout. Bourjos is the perfect guy to hit in front of Trout because he runs like the wind, can steal bases and creates issues for the pitcher when facing Trout. The way Bourjos has been hitting, he should be getting more AB's up in the order instead of the least opportunities at the bottom.

I think Sosh is just letting PB get comfortable after being out for 5 weeks. He did this at the start of the year then moved him to the 1 spot.

I'd like to see Bourjos hit 2nd. Dude can crush fastballs and with Trout on base a good chunk of the time that's a good thing. Hamilton needs to be moved down to 6th until he's proven he's back to form.

Except the higher you put Hamilton in the order the more pressure you put on him to perform, and that might be a good thing in his case.  Someone needs to straighten Hamilton out mentally.

id be fine with that also. I don't think it really matters which one hits in front.

I just like like Trout hitting leadoff because he gets on base and sets the tone at the top of the order.

Bourjos doesn't walk much, but he's making incredible contact this year. Perfect for the 2-spot, especially with that speed threat. Also, even though Bourjos has just five walks, he's seeing more pitches this season which is a good thing. As a result, he's hitting for a higher average.
