It's all about moderation. I love my evening wine during the weekdays, but I'll only have one glass. I try to keep my beer drinking just in the later half of the week, starting on Thursdays. Cocktails are pretty much saved for the weekend, starting on Friday night, and at that I try not to have more than two per sitting. I try not to overdo it. 

The one thing I'm super cognizant about nowadays, is my drinking in front of my kids. I will have my beverage, but I will never make a big deal about it, never act like its great, and obviously never have too much. All our bottles are stored in a locked cabinet, and they're out of sight. Basically I don't want my kids associating having a "good time" with alcohol consumption. We do that plenty of times without.

Personally, I don’t drink. I did when I was younger, but stopped when I was in my 30’s. Just a conscious decision because I didn’t enjoy it, need it or want it.
