Watson since being traded: 7 appearances, 7 1/3 innings, 2 hits, no BB, 7 K, no runs.

Watson was better than the numbers showed...he got torched for 6 ER in one game and 4 ER in another, but in outside of that in his other 33 innings he had a 1.91 ERA, 17 hits allowed, 13 BB, 25 K, 2 HR...34 of his 36 games (94%) as an Angel. When you get rocked in two relief games it and pitch that little it really inflates numbers.

Definitely a good move to make though considering the return, even if none of the three pan out. The ~15-20IP he would have contributed the rest of the way wouldn't have moved the needle enough.

Yeah, I'm not suggesting that they should have kept him.  I was very much in the "trade everyone whose contract is expiring" camp. I just happened to notice his numbers, so I posted them.  This is a lost season, so I couldn't care less if he was still with the team.
