Had a feeling this would happen.  Can't hurt, but he does seem like a shell of his former self, both offensively and defensively.

Oh I agree.  I don't want IFs in the OF, either.  I'm just saying that I don't think anyone should be expecting anything more than baseline competence.

Ward is a pretty good defensive outfielder in RF and has a .357 OBP against southpaws. It's a good platoon. 

I doubt we see Adell or Marsh this season unless they absolutely kill it and our roster depth is depleted due to injuries.

Makes sense. It also makes me wonder if they're not confident that Upton and/or Trout will be back anytime soon.

Ward has had his moments, sure, but I think he has very bad baseball instincts both defensively and offensively.

I don’t think he’s good defensively, at all.  I’d just like to see a healthy Marsh play at least a couple games for the Halos this season.

I don’t think it’s a terrible idea to give Eaton a shot and see if he can recapture what made him a solid outfielder as recently as 2019. I hope the leash is short though. I’d rather see one of our young players getting those at bats if the production isn’t there quickly from Eaton.

he's pretty good in RF. He just can't get good reads in LF and sometimes CF for whatever reason.
