Breeder's Cup headed back to Santa Anita for 2014

Big news for Arcadia, brings in tons of money for the city.

There are only 3 or 4 venues in the country that could host it. It will be at SA at least 4 times every decade.

It's a good move.  When Z was at Churchill, it rained the day before, and the day of.  Dried out by race time, but Breeders Cup is not only about the main event.  

 

While it may rain in So Cal, it's almost guaranteed back east in early November.  

 

And with the amount of money people are paying, $4-6k for box seats, $250 for a grandstand seat, you want a spectacle.  

 

When I went to volunteer orientation the week before the Breeders Cup last year.  The head guy at the Breeders Cup said, people have asked why the Breeders Cup loves to go to Santa Anita.  Then he waved his hands to the mountains as the backdrop and said, this is the reason why.
