If there is one thing that we need to thank Jerry Dipoto for in spades, it is finding a taker for Jeff Mathis. For all the groaning about the offensive production of our catchers, I had a peek at Mathis' line since he is now back with the Marlins. For the season: Two hits in 28 at bats, an .071 batting average and a .100 on base percentage (incredibly, one pitcher, who is probably now buried deep in the minors, walked him). He is slugging a robust .179. Amazingly both of his hits were for extra bases (a double and a triple), and he has two RBI.

Close, his career CS is 27%. Last year he had a career high 41% CS.
