Ryu 4 yrs/80 million for a 33 yr old

Yep, nice work staying away overpaying two over 30 pitchers.....I suspect you would post something about how these would eventually become bad contracts if the Angels did sign them regardless of how well they currently perform.

Finding good pitching is hard....That said, I don’t think Eppler has a done a particularly good job of it...

The Keuchel deal is fair, also this year is prorated. If you get good production from Keuchel even just 2 out of the 3 years, that's a fantastic contract. Ryu is pricier and more of a risk, but again, if you get 2 good years, I'd see that as a far better value than 5 years and $100 million of Justin Upton. We haven't had a starting pitcher who had good numbers at the end of the season since 2015, so maybe one of these two would have been worth it, with neither going over 4 years?

Wheeler would have been the best of the three. But we also could have picked up Taijaun Walker for real cheap. He would have been the second best pitcher on our team right now.

In reality they didn’t have the money to get Ryu or Keuchel with Rendon.
