So my sister, who has Stage 4 Lung Cancer, had a stroke yesterday, and was sent to St Jude in Fullerton.  They did a procedure to remove a large clot by her brain, they also gave her a blood transfusion.  She was then supposed to be moved to ICU for observation and testing.  That was 26 hours ago.  She is still in a different portion of the hospital because there are no beds available in ICU because of covid.  This sucks, pretty damn bad.

Brutal. Hope she gets better man.

Really sorry to hear that, Strad. My thoughts are with you. God be with you and your family.

My grandpa got diagnosed yesterday.  He’s 84 and has COPD.  He’s doing relatively well I suppose.  Still not great ! Pretty worried about it.  Earlier this year my uncle had it and we thought he would die.  Was very, very sick.  Had a stroke that the doctor felt was brought on by covid.  He did  survive but is still not well.

I think most people believe COVID is a respiratory illness but I think they are saying it’s more of a vascular thing. Probably the reason for strokes. One of my staff had it last month and he got over it. Now he has numbness in his legs so they did some type of arterial scan of his legs yesterday. Sounds like they are worried about embolisms or something. Scary shit and I want no part of it
