On May 20th, at age 21, Mike Trout became the youngest American League player to hit for the cycle and the youngest overall since 1929 when Mel Ott accomplished the feat at age 20. Since their inaugural season in 1961, the Angels have had players hit for the cycle just seven times, twice completing the achievement with the minimum four at bats.

I remember everyone but the first one in May 1968.

 

Disco Dan Ford with the corked bat was quite a story.  I can't remember who it was (Chico Ruiz?), but the umpires confiscated Ford's bat.  After the game, this Angel player attempted to crawl through the heating/cooling vents to the umpire's room and grab the bat, but he was caught.  LOL  The stupid things one remembers.

I remember all but the two Fregosi cycles. I was a little young and living in Philadelphia. The Angels were not on my radar screen back then.

This cycle was the best I've seen. DaVannon's cycle was awesome to see in person though.

Fregosi's first cycle was when the Angels played @ the latrine. I don't remember much of the 2nd cycle. Just knew he did it twice.

8/25/04 - Angels 21, Mariners 6 (that explains DaVanon getting the cycle in only 5 innings. WOW!)

9/16/06 - Angels 6, Rangers 12

5/21/13 - Angles 12, Mariners 0
