Buck and McCarver talking up the Angels

They've spent some time during this inning (Dodger/Cardinals game on FOX) talking up the Angels big time. Giving kudos to Trout, Trumbo ("he can pound home runs with the best of them"), and saying Hamilton looks to be turning a corner. 

 

McCarver said Trout's home run the other day "has still not come down".

 

I don't remember these two being all that positive about our team.

McCarver is pretty in love with Trout.  Last season not a game went by he didn't fawn all over him whether the Angels were playing in it or not.

I haven't heard, seen or met a single person in baseball that isn't in love with Trout.  When someone comes along with so much talent that you're watching history in the making every time they do something, everyone wants to be a part of that.  

 

No one wants to be that one guy that 50 years later looks completely foolish for doubting an obvious player's ability.  No one would ever take them seriously again.

McCarver spent 20+ years in the majors during the 60's and 70's.  He played with Musial, Brock and Cepeda among playing against many other hall of famers.  I am sure he knows a special talent when he sees one.

The last time they did an Angels game McCarver was verbally licking Scioscia's scrotum.

If you don't like to watch Trout play baseball then you are not a fan of the sport.

It's just that simple. Same thing with Miggy at the plate or watching Kershaw, Verlander or others pitch.

whats not to love. Trout is a physical beast. Now he getting the BO Jackson comparison. He isn't as fast and strong as BO, but he's a much better hitter.

Buck has never been much of an Angel fan. And who listens to McCarver anyway?
