All i need to know about DC in one sentence...

The house overwhelmingly and bipartisanly passed HR1044.
HR1044 effectively double the number of so-called skilled workers allowed immigration visas.  It seems they can get on the same page when properly compensated to do so. 
I work in IT, and i cant imagine why this is required when we have so many good people either out of work, grossly underpaid, or transitioning to other careers.
This is about payroll, not skillsets, and there is literally nothing  anyone can tell me to convince me otherwise after 20+years in the field. 
Ill vote against every one of these bastards given the chance regardless of party. .

And I agree with you.  H1B is just replacing American jobs with cheap labor.

More like sidestepping it.  None of this should be allowed unless they have a unique skillset no one here does or that noone is willing to take the position when offered at a reasonable rate..  Its about labor costs not skills in 99% of the cases.

I cant tell you how many times ive gotten recruited for what sounded like a great job only to be asked to take a pay cut.  I like to joke they want jesus christ as minimum wage and expect him to be thankful
