Thanks Futch. Sorry I don't know who you are, I don't really know a lot of the new names on the new forum from the old forum.

Yeah dude, it has been 2 years since I have been here. Took time off from the nonsense and stuff happening off the board and got caught up with life.

I honestly don't remember much of the signing, but the main reason I hated the signing was because it made him the highest paid safety, if I remember correctly. He hasn't bombed like I thought, but he is not really good or worth the contract either which was the claim in my post about his signing. 4/40 with 19m guaranteed is pretty ridiculous for a safety.

I'm objective about things so I will say I probably eat crow with his play, but the Chargers eat crow with the contract. He wasn't a star last year, but after he signed the contract he balled...so it's a wash but I'll say I eat crow even though his numbers outside of tackles dropped significantly last year and why he wasn't a Pro Bowler which someone of his contract should be.

On a side note, he went to Alta Loma High down the street here.

And nando kind of ruined it for me, but as soon as I saw this I instantly thought of and wanted to post this because it was magical to watch at Seaus.

It's funny, after I posted I looked up safeties pay and ironically Eric Berry is the highest paid. Now, he is the best safety in the game, but not worth his contract. Although to justify, his contract is his rookie deal and was part of that last draft in 2010 that had ridiculous rookie contracts where guys were coming into the league as the highest paid at their position before stepping on the field. Berry was one of them and is the highest paid safety in NFL history with that rookie contract.
