July 8th should be a national holiday

I was going to try and find the thread from here when Trout was called up on July 8, 2011 but sad to see this board only goes back to 2013. Do we have archives? I saw another thread from the anniversary in 2014 that linked to the original thread but the link was dead. I would have loved to read the comments. I remember a lot of people doing comparisons and projecting numbers. If I recall many people seemed to think he'd be a 10-15 HR guy with speed and a good average.

In my search I came across a couple articles from the day he was called up. Love the uniform he wore in his first start. He looks so young in the 2nd article.

Our AngelsWin forum had 4 different platforms since 2004, though this one is here to stay for good. 

2004-2006 was on an access data base, very basic. Only about 30-35 of us on there. Then we moved to Snitz software from 2006-2007 where the ESPN forum migration happened, lots of talking on there, but while much better than the first platform, we still could do better. We then went to MegaBBS and were now on a SQL database. We had a good 2300 on there, which included ESPN, MLB Angels official forum, Scout's forum, Halos Haven and nearly every other forum out there. We were out 4.5 million posts from 2008- Feb of 2013, when we opened this new bright and shiny forum with all the bells and whistles. 

I still have the old forum's database of someone wants to connect it to a SQL server and somehow populate for archives for all to read. 

We certainly had some good times on the MegaBBS software from 2008-2013. Lots of great signings, trades, Trout's debut, the Hall of Fame forum & even the unfortunate thread of Nick Adenhart's death.
