Short Season Rookie Ball/Orem Owlz

Orem's season starts June 19. The team is going to be packed with young talent: Marsh, Nonie, Duensing, Chris Rodriguez, presumably Adell, Pearson, maybe Canning (unless they put him up to A ball right away). Should be fun to watch. Of course some of these guys could be on the AZL team.

Yeah, they started Mike Trout on the AZL Angels club before promoting him to Low-A (Cedar Rapids).

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the rosters when they come out.

Can you imagine Adell's power in that thin Oremo air?

Trout was really young, though. I'm thinking Nonie and Marsh definitely go to Orem, probably Pearson as well. Not sure about Adell.

I'm wondering if Nonie plays SS or 3B.

I have no idea, but would guess they start him at SS as it is easier to convert form there to 3B, rather than the other way around.

They typically won't send high school picks to Orem. Adell is considered raw as is, so I think he'll stay in Arizona. Canning, they'll take it easy on, so I don't think he'll spend a ton of time on the mound.
