Went to the Dirtbags game yesterday

If you like bunting, Blair Field is the place to be.  There were bunts with a man on first in the first inning.  There were bunts with two outs, there were bunts with two strikes, there was an attempted bunt that resulted in a guy getting picked off first, there was the hitter leading the Dirtbags in homers squaring around to bunt.

Remind me to never go to another Dirtbags game in my life.

The power hitter bunting was the big LOL.    Did Mike Weathers come back to coach LB baseball?

I am going to the first game on May 25 of the 3 game showdown series at CSF between LB and CSF.   I will make a mental note to count the number of bunt attempts.

The ace McCaughan could potentially become a decent/solid MLB starter.

to be honest, the power dude turning to bunt had seven home runs, per the scoreboard.  I assume that is the team leader considering they played half their games at Blair.

 

And the Cal Poly team was trying their darndest to match Beach bunt for bunt.
