Oh well. The Mariners were due for an offensive explosion. They've been struggling out of the gate.

Shoemaker not getting some calls, combined with some bad location of his pitches. Happens to the best of pitchers.

We split on the road and won our first series at home. I'll take it.

On pace for 92 wins!

Well then...bring on the robot umpires. They're not likely to hold a grudge. Or call catcher's interference when there was none.

If you go with robot umpires they would still have home plate umpires to call things like catchers interference

Not if they're all robots.

ok. so no more umpires at all?  So we would no longer have balks, or catchers interference.  We wouldn't have check swings.  We wouldn't have ground rule doubles.  We wouldn't have weird things like a runner running past another runner on the base path and being automatically out.  You could bunt forever because well the robot umpire probably wouldn't be programmed to tell if you pulled the bunt back.  It would all be very strange without umpires.  No more runners interference or fielders interference.  How would you tag someone out and no if they are out?

Though I can see his power isn't really there anymore. If it was young Albert Pujols, the one he hit in the first inning was gonna be a home run as well and this one was gonna be way out of the park, not barely over the fence. I feel like the ball he bats isn't going as far as it should be

He has hit the ball hard every time up, twice to the track before hitting one out.

Yes, but someone has to be pissed he hit a home run in a blow out instead of hoping it is a sign of things to come.  He hits them in bunches and he did hit a couple of deep balls today.
