The worst part, at least regarding Blarg, is that he’s just a contrarian.  He doesn’t really believe the things he says, even if he thinks he does. 

He’s surrounded by LA liberals all day and it’s just his innate personality to be abrasive to the majority.  So he’s assumed this personality of this right wing guy.  The thing is, if you had him working at a factory some place in Nebraska with a bunch of Trumpers he’d be spouting off opinions that were (at the very least) more moderate with a left lean than the Trump bullshit. (Obviously as a white male you can’t go too far left or else there is the fear of being assumed a homosexual).

I mentioned “spouting off” and it goes without saying this is the other predominant aspect of Blarg’s personality.  Saying things and giving opinions, usually when not asked for, with absolute certainty and confidence that, in reality, often are wrong.  Which of course gives rise the to Cliff Clavin comparisons.
