What a amazing streak for a generally crappy pitcher. Crappy pitchers don't go on streaks like this. I know its Oakland and Cincinnati but you have to start questioning whether or not something has changed.

He hasn't always been a crappy pitcher. He got crappier when he went to a really crappy team. He had some solid seasons with the Marlins.

He was good in 2013 and 2008. 2008 is too long ago to matter, and 2013 wasn't exactly Cy Young caliber. He does have the stuff to be good though.

Well his peripherals have always shown he's been due for improvement. Maybe having Trout, Simmons, Calhoun, and Cowart behind him has helped him pitch to his potential

Paxton couldn't get out of the fifth. Texas has scored at least 6 runs in each of the past 8 games. At least that's what I think I heard the M's announcer say.

If Nolasco can pitch like this for a couple or more years along with Shoemaker, Skaggs, Meyer, and Richards we might have a hell of a staff next season. Knock on wood.

I was pretty much joking.  But he's the anti weaver.  He allows a ton of hard contact and has had a very high LD% for his career.  His LD rate with the halos has been much better.  

From his pitch data, I see a lot more sinker slider and less of the fourseam.  In fact, in his last start he threw the fourseam 13% of the time.  his lowest total for the season and the sinker 34% of the time.  His highest total.  His velo has been the same.  He gets good arm side movement from the sinker and it's about the same speed as his fastball.  And his slider has good movement away from righties.

I don't have video for this series and the KLAA audio isn't picking up the drum that seems to annoy some posters here. An official Oakland A's pic posted in the twitter feed of the CBS gametracker indicates the entire Cal Golden Bear drum line is at the game tonight. Has the drumming improved the listening experience?

No, Morin is dogshit...has been for two seasons.  You could have gone with any other option and still probably made it out the inning with a tie game.  Don't know what the dude's problem is but he has been hittable and shouldn't be trusted for anything but mopup
