Actually this post is most specifically concerning the current campaign but you may bundle it to include everything under the current Halo Regime?  Are you in the whole merry regarding the whole general state of affairs?  Or not?  Fiercely not?  Aggressively not?

two saturdays ago I went to the store on the previous wednesday and didn't buy anything but I saw one of those fire logs that burn for hours with the blue flame and the chemicals.  I always wondered why they sold that stuff on the other side of the cashier stations.  I haven't been back often except to pick up stuff to make dinner every night because the parking is annoying.  But then I ran out of it and figured I would get more on my trip to Fresno because she never says no.  So we ate in front of the tv that night even though I've been trying to get the kids to learn another language but it's hard because I don't speak one.  I can understand a little spanish, french, but not mandarin or most any other Asian language.

so yah.  I think we'll win 90 games.

It depends on how you define pessimist i guess.  I consider myself middle of the road / realist.
Do i think we are a bad team, no, i dont.  We have a lot of talent and some potentially good young players.
Do i think we are a playoff team, again, no.  I think we will put up the good fight and hang around in the mix but with our current roster i think we will fall short largely due to lack of better than league average offensive production from our LF platoon.

Today I was asked if I wanted strawberry or grape jelly on my PBJ. It was, at the time, a really difficult decision. You know your at some dump breakfast shop where you ask for jelly and either you get one packet of grape (that covers about a half a slice of toast) or some gooey jar full with a spoon in it and you know one of the homeless guys in there licked the spoon. Strawberry on the other hand can be only slightly better. Unless it is a good brand you are eating grape jelly with strawberry seeds and red food dye. My brother will grab the jam tray of packets and spoon out all of the good ones like blackberry, strawberry, raspberry and he is not even having breakfast, he just scams the jams and leaves the grape and orange marmalade. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate orange marmalade, it's like some grandmother's recipe where she slips in some peel. Old school before all of the food channel snobs showed up and you can't have some simple dessert that is sugary and delicious, it has to be made of kale, and pine nuts (sunflower seeds for snobs) with a bitter element and other horse shit. Marmalade goes great with a Monte Cristo sandwich that is off the diet for a long, long time.

I chose grape.

Optomism paid off today.

I couldn't agree more.  I like that song by Christina Aguilera too.  Lady Marmalade.  She probably eats a lot of jelly although I bet she calls it jam.  I bet I know your brother because I used to do that with Jelly packets...or was it jam?  Maybe you could ask him.  We should go see Count of Monte Cristo.  That's a good movie and book although I've never read it.  Remember that from Shawshank?  About the dumbass?  That was hilaroius.  For a prison movie I guess.  Maybe we should see that instead.  It was on yesterday and I watched part of it but I got a craving for peanut butter sandwich.  I guess that's about 50% ironic.

But yeah.  I agree.  Kale is gross.

Very much enjoyed meandering around on a little sojourn with you and your family.  Reminds me of when I go to a Costco store and may enjoy myself wandering the huge and wide aisles.  All sort of curious and odd matters for sale often in mega proportions as if we buyers were all supposed to be supersized?  I've made mistakes in purchasing some of same only to have it collect and fester in some far cupboard or the garage?  I'm wondering if the outdoor advertising salesman our Arte, shops this same way in his free agent selections and worrisome trade pacts?

Had some wild wandering ideas that one might enjoy an afternoon with you and your brother and your culinary choices in some coffee dive?  But on second thought realized you two might get me in trouble?  Don't think that the waitress didn't see what your bro was up to?  No doubt this is similar to how Senor Moreno scopes out the ongoing language about him on message boards etc.  It's ALWAYS about him.

IMO far too little was done to address the team's most glaring weaknesses. This team had trouble scoring runs, and no real run producers were added. We desperately needed a left fielder, and we took a complete pass on one of the most loaded free agent classes ever. We traded some of our little remaining young talent for a player who is an elite defender, but who was not at a position of immediate need. He is unlikely to help offensively. Starting pitching isn't the strength that a lot of people believe. Jered Weaver's marked drop in velocity is troublesome, and possibly career ending. Word has already come that C. J. Wilson and Ricky Skaggs will likely start the season on the DL. Hector Santiago is Jekyll and Hyde. He's either great or he's terrible, and we saw far too much of the latter down the stretch last season. We had a chance to bolster the bullpen, but instead we re-upped with Fernando Salas.

The same players who didn't produce a year ago are a year older and a year slower. There were some additions, but none that significantly improve the club at any position besides shortstop, and that only defensively. We have the premier player in the game, but he can't do it alone. In my mind, this is a .500 team at best.

PC or MAC?

Froyo or Ice Cream?

Thin Crust or Deep Dish?

When this occurs it is a mental metaphor(k) in the road, yellow or otherwise?

Can result in one's head exploding?

In old Russia you get solely ONE choice and like it?  Or back to the gulag with you?

But nothin' beats a summer in Siberia like the Beach Boys little tune?

Crank 'er up.
