Moot point for this year. He'll have to establish residency in another country first, then have MLB approve his status, which isn't likely before Opening Day.

Fernandez is major league ready, more like Puig than Baldoquin. He's 27, and in 2600 plate appearances (equivalent to 4 major league seasons basically, he struck out just 113 times or just over 4%. And he walked 260 plus times. So major league equivalent would be 650 PA, 28 SO and 65 walks.

He's a high average high obp option without much speed, but that's ok.

Yep, I'd be okay with Eppler splurging there if it means Cowarts glove at third. Fernandez, Heyward, Trout, Pujols, Calhoun, Cron, Perez/Soto, Simmons, Cowart? If they really wanna go crazy, they could re-sign Freese.
