Just like every other politician.  They'll say and do whatever they need to in order to get elected, get very little accomplished then go back into campaign mode blasting their critics as to why they didn't get things done while making more false promises.

I totally agree, I just think he has less pedigree than the rest so it is even more lip service.

For sure and while I don't see too many scenarios where he gets my vote I'd almost prefer someone with less pedigree.  We have lifelong politicians who are basically bought and paid for and that goes against some of the principles on which this country was founded.  I'm not saying you want the asshole who screams the loudest calling the shots but it would be nice if someone who got in there wasn't the same as all the rest.  That said I realize it's a pipe dream because to get that far they all do the same things but it would be nice if our elected officials did what's best for the country and not to get re-elected or toe the party line and get the next person from their party elected.

extreme muslims continue to be a threat around the world (al qaeda and ISIS included)

the russians are flexing their muscles again.

the drug cartels are as big a problem as always.

syria.

the chinese.

iran.

the taliban.

domestic terrorists.

 

the world is very dangerous, regardless of which stories the news chooses to cover.
