I'll go on record as saying this has not been the Fundraiser-In-Chief's best week ever.  However, I don't think he cares that much at this point.

This lawsuit does not affect the 14 states (California is one of them) that have their own exchange. But it does affect millions of people in the 36 states that opted for the federal exchange. They would lose their subsidies if the Court rules in favor of the challenge.

 

SCOTUS will do whatever it takes to avoid this disaster, in my opinion.

 

This is what happens when a 2,000 page bill is put together at the last minute and rushed to a vote.

It wasn't penned at the last minute, it wasn't even presented at the last minute. Senators just ignored it until it was time to vote and never did their proper research. Had this been a bill on reducing the senators perks they would've read and had a paragraph by paragraph discussion. The US Senate is the ultimate "It's not my money" institution until it is.
