Haren gave up four homers today; Santana gave up three couple days ago. Just wish we weren't paying Blanton so much.

Is it unfair to ask your perspective on PB's home run and fantastic bunt single today?  Just kidding, I know it is only one game, and by no means do I want to hijack this and make it a PB debate thread.  Does give me hope that once an every day player this year we might get 2011 rather than 2012 though.  Was nice to see.

I'm really happy with what I have seen from Hanson in his last ST start and his start yesterday. Velocity isn't up there but his off speed stuff has looked fantastic.

Yes, the pitching has been pretty solid thus far.  Dipoto might not be off the hook yet with pitching (because you never have enough) but so far so good.  Going into this season pitching was my concern and hitting was the furthest thing from my mind.

 

Kinda explains why I really didn't like the start for the offense.  But today made me feel a lot better.  These guys are going to score a ton of runs, the goal for the pitching is to not dig too deep of a hole.

 

But that works!  Our lone championship was hardly a pitching juggernaut.  It's gonna be a great season, and I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy watching this team put it all together.
