Just got home from work.  I've been locked away in meetings and on calls all day, even on the drive home.  Given the score, and the fact that I see a thread with a title about Trout being injured, is it fair to say that I should just pretend like today didn't happen in the world of the Angels?

There's no reason to check on how Oakland is doing. The division is theirs, the series this past weekend showed just how much better they are than the Halos

should be looking at the teams in the wildcard race, that's the Angels competition. You're just driving yourself crazy if you follow what Oakland does

No but how could a new manager hurt at this point...you have to approach this like the Warriors did with firing Marc Jackson...championship or bust.  Clearly Jackson wasn't leading them there and he's a grade A asshole, so get someone new.  Scioscia's Angels haven't been managed like Scioscia's traditional teams in years and haven't been to the playoffs in even longer.  So what's the point in keeping him around.  Who cares if a new manager sucks worse? What's worse than 3rd place...4th? BFD

I thought the Angels were insane for bringing back Scioscia for this year. This should definitely be his last year as manager if we don't make the wild card game. Dipoto gets another year or 2 only because the Trumbo trade is promising and he's hired solid scouts.

a few pen strokes from Scioscia could at least prevent Pujols from grounding into 5-4-3 double plays from the three-spot in the lineup every game.
