It's funny because just about every guy on every team get's a pre spring tag about how this year will be better than last. Best shape of my life. Improved eyesight. Changed arm angles. Change of scenery. New contract. Walk year. THE WAY THE BALL IS COMING OUT OF MY HAND etc, etc.

this should be one of, if not the best offense in baseball.  it needs to be.  The offense underachieved significantly last year even though they were top tier.  They really need to be top 3.  The pitching wasn't very good, but I feel like they only slightly underachieved.  Mostly as a result of Blanton/Hanson and injuries.  Defense is the other are where I expect significant improvement.  I also think this years pen is going to be sneaky good.  Not great, but better than average.  A couple of guys will step up in addition to the guys we expect to be ok.  Plus, we actually have a shade of depth there. 

 

So my bold prediction is that we are going to lead the league in offense and walk off wins due to a bullpen that keeps us in games.  Sort of 2012 orioles esque.
