So, who actually is pitching well for the Halos this spring?

Joe Blanton -- he throws strikes (occasionally those strikes are solo homers)

CJ Wilson -- he likes to walk the bases loaded to keep people guessing then induce ground outs into inning-ending double plays (who cares how many people get on base if they don't score ;) )

Can we get Morales back?

I wonder if he can play catcher

what is the benefit of letting an AL pitcher hit when the games don't matter.

they're going to have to hit on a somewhat regular basis this year because of the new format.  Good idea to get them some ABs this spring in hopes that they're not all completely useless in interleague games.

I'm guessing this new interleague format leads to adoption of the DH in both leagues in the not too distant future. They should have a consistent set of rules in both leagues, I wouldn't mind seeing pitchers bat overall (they woudln't be as bad at it as they are now if they were batting in minor league games), but my guess in the MLBPA would never allow for that as the DH allows guys like Pujols to sign contracts into their 40s.

yeah I'm guess we'll end up with DHs in both leagues eventually too.
