If he wouldn't have those total blow ups, he could be a better closer going forward. This Frieri is fine.

I recall a similar article came out the last time he went a few games without giving up a run. Then, he had a few more bad games.

Frieri is not a good closer. He can be a very good middle relief bullpen arm. There is a reason why he was always behind guys like Heath Bell, Luke Gregerson, and others in San Diego. He goes through streaks where he's unhittable, and streaks where he can't locate the strike zone. I really hope we find a better closer in the offseason.
