I actually read an article on Fangraphs describing it as the statistical best hitting season by a pitcher since Babe Ruth. 

 

That said, the idea that Angels might have actually been better off paying Greinke $25M a year to DH and bat cleanup on a regular basis instead of signing Josh Hamilton is very amazing.

Are you talking about the throw to the cut off man? So technically he didn't throw him out at the plate. BUT, that was an incredible throw to even get it to the IFer.

I just saw the replay on MLB.com and you're right. I was at El Ranchito eating at the bar when it happened and I only caught the tale end of the play. I asked the guy next to me (who clapped for the play) if Puig just gunned the dude out at the plate and he said yes. I screwed up, I trusted a Doyyer fan.
