One must give Houston a lot of credit for signing Veras, putting him in a role he had never had before, and flipping him for value.

The Astros have a loaded farm system. They are going to be a perennial series threat for the division every year starting in 2015 or 2016.

The AL West is now one of the power house divisions in baseball. Not good news for us.

I don't know if its a trend but it looks like the most fiscally responsible teams such as Oakland, TB and Atlanta have their sh*t together both on the field and the FO. These teams are putting us to shame and may all get to enjoy an infusion of playoff revenue. Kudos to those well managed teams.
