I watch the Rays pretty often, I like a couple of their players, they're scrappy and play good despite their low payroll.

Fairbanks used to be pretty much lights out for the Rays for quite a few seasons. Throw strikes. 1-2-3 9th innings.

He got lit up in the playoffs last season, and he has not been the same since.

A slumping closer sticks out like a sore thumb but his peripherals and predictive data this year are still close to elite. 

 

Baseball is the one sport where good/bad luck shows up so often it's annoying.
