Gameday Thread (4/9/24): Rays @ Angels: Sandoval on the mound, no Neto, Schanuel dropped to 7th

Only 11 games in, but five of the nine guys in the lineup to start the game have a pretty bad OPS.

Some surprising wins to start the year. But, I’ve come to the conclusion this team is ass. Mike Trout looks great and the rest is garbage.

I’m fine keeping Rendon at lead off or maybe move him to the 2 hole but Rengifo needs to be up there in either spot and be playing every damn day

At least every day for Rengifo against LHP, and at least half the time against RHP

Question is how to do that?

Rendon is starting to reach base more often and hasn’t been bad in the field.

Drury has struggled out of the gate, but it is still early.

Neto has struggled some too, but SS isn’t Rengifo’s best spot.

I guess they could utilize him like Figgins was, play 2B/SS/3B/RF/DH?

Unlike the Schanuel hit/error this is the right call. How that was ever considered a hit is beyond me.

I agree. Just don't know why these calls are taking so long to be reconsidered these days.

I think this has always happened but now with Twitter we hear about them.
