This was in comparison to signing Tim Anderson, which I totally oppose. I am also sick of Rengifo's defense and his hot and cold bat.

Problem is Cincy, even after dealing India, has too many good, young infielders. If the Angels move Rengifo, it pretty much has to be for a top SP prospect or a controllable relief ace.

FWIW, trade value site has Rengifo around even with Miami's Edward Cabrera. That's absolutely a trade I'd consider. Would also see how far Rengifo gets you down the line for someone like Tyler Glasnow or Shane Bieber. Definitely not enough, but he'd probably be a pretty good starting point.

So quick update here: Anderson is currently hitting .218/.259/.245, for an OPS that's 78 points lower than where he ended up last year.  Here's his profile.  Laughably bad.

I was way wrong on this one. I had no idea what his numbers would be this year but I thought for sure with his track record of hitting he would have gotten a decent 2-3 year deal, deserving or not.
