"Autopsy" is a great term.

It is but the coroner who is performing it is woefully incompetent as well & after 3 years...is still searching for a pulse. You know...like the 2022 pitching staff had before "someone" made a call that caused it to flat-line this season. But hey...maybe in his 4th year of "diagnosing the problem" he will finally get it right huh? Which, will likely will involve an immediate infusion of Showalter to make it all better...

Surely Perry mean Forensic Analysis and not autopsy.

People use the terms post mortem and autopsy in business fairly often to describe an analysis of what went wrong or even just what happened (good or bad) during an event or project.

I work in market research in the film world and we regularly refer to recap/analysis calls after test screenings, etc as "post mortems".

Wouldn’t Montgomery mean even more emphasis on analytics?

Seems that it was overboard as is in 2023?

Need someone solid in fundamentals and managing the younger players emerging.

Of course, we sadly know Moreno’s fascination with shiny new toys like big name managers, regardless of their current abilities.

What if its not the analytics that's the problem but rather how they're being used.  Hard to argue with the success of analytics driven teams like LA,TB, Baltimore, The Professor and Mary Ann.

Its not analytics that's the problem.  Nobody was saying the analytics were an issue when they "went for it" either...

The analytics said that Nevin had an 82% chance to go 73-89 again. Therefore he was pinch hit for.
