Curt gives the current Padres as an example of a lot of talent that just can't play together and get it done.  He also said that the 2004 Sox didn't gel until they got rid of Garciaparra and brought in Orlando Cabrera and Doug Mientkiewicz.  He gave an example of one of the Red Sox hispanic stars (he wouldn't say the name) who was in the training room claiming that he couldn't play that night.  Orlando Cabrera came in, looked at the lineup, said "what's up amigo?" and then said, "I'm going out to take batting practice now.  When I come back in, if you're not in the lineup, we're going to fight!"  The player was in the starting lineup that night.
