A runner being thrown out at home is such a huge momentum shift from the offensive team to the defensive team. I don't see why you would EVER send a runner home with less than two outs unless you're 100% sure he's going to score unless he falls down.

Canning and Detmers were good in their last starts. Till they ran out of gas. But plenty of strikeouts elevates pitch counts. Sandoval needs to step up too. Hopefully he can produce a quality start and go through six at least. The Yankees are slumping on a bad road trip and also are hurt by injuries.  A winnable game that at least takes the series. And hopefully leads to a needed sweep.
