I think there is an inverse relationship between homeruns and doubles. 'Homeruns' that don't go over the fence end up doubles. Being top 5 in homeruns generally means converting doubles to homeruns, not base hits or strikeouts into homeruns.

It's a bit all over, of the other top 5 homer teams, the Dodgers also top 5 in doubles, the Rays are 11th, the Braves are 14th, and the Yankees are 29th.

I think the Yankees has a lot to do with their home park.

The Dodgers are just a great all around offense.

I would suspect the Angels being 5th/23rd probably implies some regression. That said Angels stadium has turned into something of a hitters park ever since they put the line on the wall in RF, which will explain some of the homer to double ratio.
