My suggestion would be more short term.  Figure out how to win with the cards we have.  Maybe make trades

one thing I'm happy about is that we didn't overspend on a SS during the off season

I do agree that they need to figure out how to win with the relievers they have.

The players need to be given the chance, and the players need to execute when given the chance.

I don't think the Angels need to make a trade. They have 2 promising arms for the bullpen.

1. Kenyon Yovan at Rocket City. He is now closing for them. 16 k's in 14 inn. and a microscopic .61 ERA

2. Reyes Montoya (who makes Jose Suarez look skinny), just signed a minor league deal and has had success in the past in the majors. 1st 3 innings for SLC...0 hits, 1 walk and 6k's

If Silseth can give them 5-6 innings in a start, it solves the problem. If not use Davidson or go to a 5 man rotation and put Silseth back in bullpen in high leverage situations.

There is also Bachman and Joyce for the future, but they are not ready yet.

Bumping this as even though you made this just over a week ago it's already in a dramatically different place with Bachman, Moronta, Webb, on the team and Silseth sticking to relief

At this point, the back end looks better  with Estevez, Moore, Silseth, and Devenski.

Have to see now how Bachman and Webb fare.

Davidson clearly is the long man.

Loup and Moronta don’t inspire much confidence.   Time for Ingram to be promoted?
