Fire the interim manager and all the coaches, and get some people who understand baseball fundamentals. Right now!! And bench players who won't go along. Bring up some kids from the minors who know how to play the game. Clean house and see what happens. It can't be any worse than this current disaster.

Literally always having to be near perfect on the mound and always a home run threat at bat must be mentally draining for Ohtani. And having to be a stolen base threat on the basepaths as well. With all that talent comes exponentially more pressure on a chronic losing team. 

Sure, he lost it in the seventh. But he pitched another quality start till then. With some run support earlier (yet another bases loaded big zero) maybe the game plays out differently. Grasping at straws at this point with such an inept offense, but imagine how Ohtani feels inning after inning with no run support? 

There have been a number of HOf pitchers who spent long careers on perennial bad teams. Robin Roberts, Fergie Jenkins, and others. They had no free agency then to escape. Ohtani soon will.

I’ve learned that @Blarg is to blame for the angels being in the mess that they are, since he didn’t raise a stink when he saw Arte.
