Puerto Rico vs Mexico has been a pretty good game. Puerto jumped Mexico for 4 runs in the first and have been trying to hold the lead. The 7th inning started with Diaz's brother unable to log an out and walking 3 batters. A basses loaded 2 out line drive to left scored two to ties the game. Then a jamb shot to right field puts Mexico ahead 5-4.

The inning finally ended with a fly ball to left but the Puerto Rico bats have been pretty quiet since the  early going so they are going to have to rally here in the 8th.

Puerto Rico had 2 on 2 out and the last batter stared at a slider over the heart of the plate for strike three to send Mexico on to play Japan.

Great start for team USA. 3-0 bot 1st.  As long as Altuve loses, I don't care what country wins it all. Rooting for USA though. Would love a USA, Japan final.

man, that is an awful 0-2 pitch for bracho. that's definitely one of the old school rules that still applies. there's no way any hitter should ever be able to get a hit, much less a homerun on an 0-2 pitch. daddy vladdy and ichiro excused.

Walks, lots of runs, a bunch of pitching changes, no pitch clock.  That's what happens.
