Trump , Ike , Reagan about the only good ones over the last 100 years

Trump is my all time favorite president, but that’s mostly due to the “recency effect.”  But as a student of history, I think he’s profoundly unique when compared to modern presidents as he isn’t part of the establishment—a trait that no president has had since Teddy.

Obviously, he doesn’t beat our founding fathers, but I have great admiration for him and I really miss him. I know many here find that irrational or idiotic—and that’s fine, but it’s just my opinion. I’m not the stereotypical Trumper, and I have many liberal stances, but there are many complex reasons why I still support/love him despite voting for Obama twice.

It just saddens me how he misplayed the last few months of his presidency. He’ll likely never get another shot at the presidency after the incident at the Capitol. He is far from perfect, and I disagree with some of his positions—but his strength and resolve make him my favorite.

If we’re talking about historically favorite presidents, then I’d pick Teddy Roosevelt. He’s another non-establishment President that got screwed over by Washington.

Trump really drained the swamp, didn't he?

The swamp cannot be drained, unfortunately. Though, I suspect you don’t even think there is a “swamp.”

Of course there is. But Trump is exactly the kind of person who has benefitted from the corruption in Washington, so it was laughable to think he was the guy to drain the swamp.

I do respect that you criticize Trump where it's due. Too many of his supporters treat him like he can do no wrong.

He would’ve been stupid to not take advantage of the swamp as a businessman
