but my point is, even with those numbers (which are among the league leaders at the position) the guy just has a propensity for ****ing up.  If it's not a gidp, it's a pop-up on a 3-0 pitch, or a strikeout with a man at 3rd and 1 out, or a muffed dp ball that results in a run.  He's just . . . that guy.

If you just looked at Weaver's numbers you might think he's one of the best pitchers in the league

With Pujols or Hamilton that meat pitch would have been popped up to 3rd or short. Weaver thought for a moment he was facing one of them, so he selected a strike out pitch. Too bad it was a competent hitter that knows what to do with a mistake. Damn, just damn!
