Pujols brings absolutely no value to the club. Who cares about his past. Derek Jeter was good in the past too. Should we sign him to play shortstop next year?

This really needs to be the end of Pujols’ career. We could afford to waste a roster spot on him this year. Not so next year. Offer him the chance to retire gracefully after this season, and if he doesn’t take it, release him. Either way, you aren’t getting out from under the $30 mil owed him.
