Ty Buttrey vs young Percy

Is anyone else here seeing some sort of similarity between Buttrey and early years Percy (1995-96)?

Shows solid command and nasty stuff since being acquired later on in 2018.  

34.1 innings, 42/8 Ks/BBs ratio,  2.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP

The one difference so far is that Percy was ridiculously stingy with hits in 1995-96 (around 5 hits per 9 innings), although also wilder than Buttrey is (over 3.5 walks per 9 innings for Percy vs just over 2 walks per 9 innings for Buttrey). 

Both debuted in MLB at age 25.

That got me thinking back to when Mike (PercySquint) was still alive and posting on here.    I'm sure that many on here, and not just myself, miss the guy.

Percy's secret weapon: the hitter was so afraid he was going to get hit with the ball that he couldn't focus on making contact.

Buttrey doesn’t have to worry about facing Manny Ramirez! 

When Percy came up he threw nothing but fastballs, mostly up. His had little chance ntrol with his curveball and also telegraphed the pitch by slowing his delivery way down. It took a couple years before he started nailing the corners with his fastball and cleaned up his delivery with the curve.
